Barn Doors

Barn doors or track can be a great way to close off a space without taking up the space of swinging doors. You will see some of our interior glass doors we build we will make with tracks so they slide open. We try to categorize barn doors separately mainly because of their unique style and they way they sit off of a wall and slide over an existing wall. Track doors normally have a door that slides in front of a stationary panel as seen below

Barn doors open in front of an existing wall so they slide completely out of the way which allows maximum opening. Barn doors can be great to utilize dead wall space and allow them to slide out of the way. The only downside to barn doors is their ability to keep sound out of a room because they sit off the wall and its difficult to seal them.

Track doors normally are divided into equal panels so the sliding door opens in front of a stationary panel. Track doors are great to use when you dont have the wall space for a barn door and track doors are better at keeping out sound.
