Wood doors are timeless.

Wood doors are the ORIGINAL door. Wood doors give you that classic look and feel that can rarely be replicated. We sell a variety of door wood species such as mahogany, walnut, alder, knotty alder and fir. We also offer several different glass patterns. All of our doors come with standard Insulated, tempered glass with LOW E coating. LOW E glass helps block UV light which increase heat inside of your home as well as fades floors and furniture over time. We stock 4 main glass patterns, Flat, Beveled, Flemish and Winterlake but we can order any custom pattern you want.

There are a two main choices to focus on when deciding on a new entry door. The first choice is style and the next choice is material.

4. Dutch Door

There are 3 main different door materials to choose from. Wood, fiberglass and steel. Each have their own pro's and con's. Below are some pictures of the different door materials for inspiration

1. Wood Doors

1. Fiberglass Doors

FIBERGLASS DOORS LAST A LIFETIME

Fiberglass doors have come a long way in the past several years. Fiberglass doors have become our most popular door we sell. Fiberglass doors used to be regarded as cheaper or inferior to solid wood doors but that isnt true anymore. Our fiberglass doors are made with heavy duty construction. They are actually heavier than most of our wood doors. The updated design and heavy duty construction is what allows us to paint them in darker colors without having issues with warping. Most of our wood door styles are replicated in fiberglass. We stock several styles in 1 lite, 4 lite, 6 lite and more. The glass is industry standard Insulated, tempered, LOW E. We stock them in flat, beveled and flemish patterns. We also have different ornamental iron styles.

1. Steel/iron Doors

steel doors combine beauty and strength

Steel doors, Iron doors, metal doors, they go by several different names. They are all virtually the same product with a few variations. Most doors with scroll work will be called iron or wrought iron. The more modern style with slim profiles and maximum glass they will call steel, French steel or euro steel. I like to just go by what they are made of (Steel). Steel doors are incredibly strong. Some would even say they are overbuilt for residential applications. Needless to say they have become incredibly popular. If you like the ornamental scroll work or are looking for that super modern look with maximum glass for viewability steel doors are the way to go. One big issue with steel doors is lead times. If they have to be custom ordered it can take 4-5 months. We work with local vendors that carry stock so we have quick lead times. usually 4-6 weeks. We can always custom order any design you like but we try to show you what's available locally first.

What type of door should I choose?

Its important to choose as door that you like. There are door materials that are better than others. The longest lasting and easiest maintenance door is a fiberglass door with a solid paint color. The most important thing to think of when deciding on a new door is how much direct sun the opening gets. If you get 3 hours or more of direct sun on your door it will fade the finish quicker. Wood doors will need to have a coat of clearcoat applied every 1-2 years. Steel doors unfortunately have no way to maintain them but depending how much sun it gets you will have to refinish it every 3-5 years. Steel doors have to be painted with an enamel paint which makes it more difficult and expensive to refinish versus a fiberglass door.
